A new series is taking root.

Robin is at work on a new series for 2027. The starting point this time is small and familiar: the seed packet. Its bright printed promise, the plant it pictures, and the plot of ground it is meant for.

The first studies, drawn in the garden as the season turns, are below. More will appear here as the series develops. Ask to be notified.

About

“I am a San Francisco Bay Area artist. I paint in oil mainly, but sometimes pull out my trusty pencils, charcoal and watercolor. My recent paintings focus on urban landscapes — powerlines, highway interchanges, and where landscape meets city.”

Robin has painted from Berkeley and Oakland, working from the flatlands, the Addison Street neighborhood, the I-880 interchange known as the Oakland Maze, and the industrial waterfront. She holds a BA in Studio Arts and English Literature from Principia College and studied in the MFA program at UC Davis.
